- North Central Institute is owned and operated by Dr. John D. McCurdy, who serves as Chief Executive Officer and is in charge of all day-to-day operations. North Central Institute (NCI) is a privately owned postsecondary educational institution located in Clarksville, Tennessee directly across from Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In 1997, NCI built a 30,000 square foot facility located across from Gate 1 on Jack Miller Blvd. Our facility houses our corporate offices, administrative offices, classrooms and aviation maintenance lab. North Central Institute's Associate in Applied Science Degree in Aviation Technology provides graduates a general education base and foundational aviation knowledge with specialized emphasis on flight, maintenance, or operations/air traffic control. North Central Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
