- ICM School of Business & Medical Careers is a private, nondenominational, coeducational business school founded as the Institute of Computer Management in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1963. In 1966, ICM became an educational component of Litton Industries.In January 1975, the Institute adopted the name ICM School of Business in keeping with its expanded curriculum. In August 1983, ICM became a privately held corporation. ICM is located at 10 Wood Street. The building encompasses 55,000 square feet that contain classrooms, laboratories, administrative offices, and an Admissions Department. Instructional facilities are well-equipped and air-conditioned. All students are encouraged to reach their potential within the framework of their individual needs, interests and capabilities. Teaching techniques encourage active student participation and may include group discussions and projects, laboratory work, simulations, demonstrations, field trips, guest speakers and lectures. A strong emphasis is placed on ethics, accountability, professionalism and the individual's commitment to pursuing lifelong personal and professional development. ICM is committed to providing quality programs to help students achieve their lifelong personal and professional goals. Career-oriented education is offered in the areas of Business, Computers, Criminal Justice, Medical, Cybercrime, Office Administration, Fashion Merchandising, Accounting, and Occupational Therapy Assisting. The college is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award Associate of Specialized Business and Associate of Specialized Technology degrees and diplomas.
