The Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is hosting two community events. The first will be Comedy for a Cause on Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. at Patrick's Pub and Eatery in Gilford. Sunny skies and a standing-room-only group of family, friends and supporters watched and cheered as 205 students graduated from Lakes Region Community College at its 40th Commencement at Meadowbrook U.S Cellular Pavilion.
