    Educational Talent Search and Alpena Community College have teamed up for a career pathway open house March 22 from 6-9 p.m. at Park Arena. Bob Newton, director of educational talent search, said the event is open to everyone. He said it would be especially beneficial for high school students interested in dual enrollment and for those who are unemployed or considering a career change.

    Despite the economic downturn, Alpena Community College continues to do well. During Thursday's board of trustees meeting, President Olin Joynton said the college has been enjoying its second highest credit hour enrollment in ACC history. Students are enrolled in 21,714 credit hours, up 8 percent over last spring.
