    FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 4, 2010) — Kentuckians who have taken the GED test since July 2009 and achieved at least a 2700 composite score may apply for a Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship.

    A water main break in Rowan County has forced a shutdown of the school system. The break affected a small part of the county on Kentucky Highway 32, but there were two schools and a vocational school within the limits of the water main break. That forced the entire school system to call off classes. Maysville Community and Technical College also canceled classes for Tuesday because of the problem.
