• Spartanburg Technical College has been a leading provider of technical higher education in beautiful upstate South Carolina since the mid 1960s. We now offer over 60 programs of study. Whether it's an associate's degree in a technical field, the first two years of a bachelor's degree through our University Transfer Program, a certification course for employment, or a continuing education class for personal enrichment, we strive to meet your lifelong learning goals.

  Spartanburg Community College President Dan Terhune and his wife, Ginni, walk through the president’s outer offices on his way out. After 13 years of service, Terhune is retiring to spend more time with his wife.

  Tammy Lowe Mathis, 47, of Gaffney, died Thursday, June 11, 2009. Born November 12, 1961, in Spartanburg, , she was the daughter of the late Betty Lowe and the wife of Randolph "Randy" Alan Mathis. A graduate of Spartanburg High School, she attended Spartanburg Technical College and the University of South Carolina - Spartanburg.
