River Drive in Davenport remains closed at Oneida Avenue after a water main break. Plans are now to open River Drive to all lanes of traffic by Friday afternoon in time for the evening rush hour traffic. Finally some good news on the road work front in the Quad-Cities: Word out of the Iowa and Illinois departments of transportation is that the Interstate 80 bridge across the Mississippi River will be opened to two-way traffic by Aug. 14, three months after eastbound traffic was first shut down.
