    The South Florida Water Polo Club celebrated three gold medals and one bronze during the Sunshine State Games in Orlando. The 18-and-younger boys, 16-and-younger boys and 14-and-younger coed teams each finished first. In three days, they went 16-0 combined, outscoring the opposition 191-76. Also the women's team placed third to win bronze in the open women's division.

    Megan Kelly scored 10 points to lead the Gators over Duke 21-17 in Girls' Seniors of Cooper City Optimist basketball. Bradee Hernandez recorded four points and Ashley Tewes three points. Talia Lerner, Creshelle Whitehead, Danielle Rose and Katrina Pitt were on defense.
