    WENATCHEE — Wenatchee Valley College is asking its faculty union to give up two paid days to help balance the budget for next school year. The vote is Wednesday. The college is preparing to lose $400,000 to $900,000 in state funding next year. A faculty furlough would save $56,000.

    WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Valley College men’s basketball team couldn’t find an answer for Walla Walla sharpshooter Jason Smith, who led the Warriors to a 57-48 win Saturday night at WVC’s Smith Gymnasium. Smith scored a game-high 29 points on 10-for-18 shooting, including 9-for-15 from beyond the arc, to help Walla Walla push a three-point halftime lead to nine by the end of the game.
