• JBC is a private college with about 300 students, just the right size for personalized faculty support and small classes. JBC graduates are skilled in fields of marketing and management, information technology, entrepreneurship, accounting, medical, legal, or general administrative assisting.

  Welcoming one of its biggest incoming classes ever, Jamestown Business College hosted new students for orientation Wednesday in preparation for the first day of the fall term today. Students learned about financial aid, class schedules, staff contacts and upcoming activities during the day.

  FREWSBURG - Emily Davis still has a year of high school left, but her plans are starting to fall into place. The 16-year-old senior-to-be already has a two-year scholarship to Jamestown Business College and has a career goal in mind. Emily said she attended a tour of the college this spring and decided it would be the place for her to explore a career in an office setting.

  Kerriann De Stahlman and Matthew Fredrick Ehman were united in marriage on May 29, 2009, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Erie, Pa. The 6 p.m. wedding was officiated by the Rev. Brian Moran and the Rev. Terry Kime. A reception followed at the Erie Maennerchor Club.

  John C. Merino, Gebbie Foundation executive director and chief executive officer, will serve as the commencement speaker at the 124th annual Jamestown Business College graduation on May 30.
